Gotta say, Flugmachine has a certain ad-like ring to it, “Flugmaschine: It’s what makes a man-powered flying machine a Volkswagen.” (This begs the question – where’s the flying machine I was promised to have by now?) Technical illustration shows elevation and horizontal section of a man-powered flying machine constructed and tested unsuccessfully by Swiss watchmaker Jakob Degen living in Vienna in the early 1800s.
